The mission of the Parish Life Committee is to nurture the hospitality within our congregation. We host four to five functions a year trying to provide a variety of settings and offerings for parishioners young and old.  This includes but it not limited to a Fall Gathering, a Christmastime Dinner, a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper and the Day of Pentecost Picnic. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions and are not limited by specific dates or functions. These get-togethers provide an opportunity for parishioners to get acquainted, share meals and form friendships.

Hospitality at Calvary consists not only in welcoming visitors and newcomers but also in providing an atmosphere of warmth and caring for all those who find a place here. Through this group and others, all are invited and enabled to feel a sense of belonging and to help others find the same. It serves to welcome all, young and old, new and longtime parishioners to the beginning of a “new” school/church year, to reunite parishioners and to herald the start up of programs for the academic year.

The sharing of food and drink is a fundamental way in which we develop bonds within our parish family.  This act comes so automatically that we often don’t even stop to think about it. Yet it is this simple act that allows us an opportunity to share in God’s bounty and blessing and to share in fellowship that brings us closer together. You will undoubtedly enjoy the camaraderie with other parishioners.
