Nets For Life
Calvary is asking each parishioner to donate $12 which will purchase one net. All that is necessary to make a donation is to designate “Nets for Life” on a check made out to Calvary Church and deliver it to the parish office.
An estimated 250 million cases of malaria are diagnosed each year, resulting in nearly one million deaths. The majority of these deaths are children younger than five years old. Children are most vulnerable because they have not built up any immunity to the disease. In addition, pregnant women are at risk because their immune systems are compromised by pregnancy.
Calvary is inspired by the NC Diocesan challenge of preventing malaria in Africa. Our congregation is learning ways that people can succeed in overcoming this terrible disease. We welcome all to come to Calvary to learn what they can do to join in the fight.
