Please join us for a covered dish supper on Wednesday nights during Lent, beginning at 6 p.m., on February 29. Bring your favorite dish to share. We will then break into groups from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Remember that Lent is not only about giving up things we like, but also taking on new tasks as well. Wonderful Wednesday will meet after dinner during Lent, beginning Wednesday, February 29. Nursery will be provided for children 3 years old and under. Adults will gather for a program exploring the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life. A DVD viewing will be followed by discussion. Bethany will lead the EYC with a program of the same content as the adults.

FAREWELL RECEPTION

Sunday, February 26, will be the Rev. Jerry Fisher’s last Sunday with us. Please join us for a farewell reception in Clark Hall, honoring Jerry and his wife Sally, immediately following the 11 a.m. service.

BISHOP SUFFRAGAN SEARCH FORUM

Members of Calvary are invited to attend the Rocky Mount Convocation  Bishop Suffragan Search Forum on Monday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, Rocky Mount.  We will view a video by Bishop Curry expressing his vision for a new Bishop Suffragan, have an opportunity to address your questions, and share your vision at this important time in the history of our Diocese.

SUBMISSION OF COMMUNICATIONS TO THE PARISH OFFICE

In order to improve the efficiency of our Parish administration and to assist our parish staff, the Vestry requests that when possible all written communications (such as Cross Reference articles, bulletin announcements, and web site content) be delivered to the parish office in an electronic format (such as Microsoft Word or text typed in the body of an email) that is compatible with word processing software.  For communications in excess of 500 words submission in electronic format is now required.
